Search the register
Enter the name of the adviser or firm, or their AFS representative number.
What you can type
- A name — the surname alone is usually enough. ASIC records individuals surname first, and firms under their legal name.
- An AFS representative number — with or without its leading
zeros. ASIC stores
000238570; typing238570works.
Every entry shows all the authorisations on record, oldest first, with dates — because that is what decides who answers for what.
Your search never reaches a server. It lives in the part of the address
after the #, which browsers do not transmit, and the lookup runs
in your browser against static index files.
Not being here does not mean unlicensed. A firm may hold an AFS licence in its own right rather than be authorised by someone else — those 4,474 licensees are on the licensee pages. Credit brokers sit on a separate register again.
